Why Choose Douglas College Baseball?
Douglas College is entering its 10th year of existence and is one of the best post-secondary options for Canadian baseball players. The Royals program has been a launching pad for players who have wanted to continue their academic pursuits while playing against elite US competition.
Over the years, Douglas College has sent players to both NCAA and NAIA institutions as well as having four players selected in the MLB draft. We are a two year program that belongs to the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC). The league is comprised of 35 colleges all located south of the border in Washington and Oregon. The Royals compete in the elite North division which is arguably the strongest conference in the Pacific Northwest.
We would like you to consider Douglas College as your stepping stone to the next level. Our Sport Science, Criminology, and Business programs are amongst the strongest in the province. Overall the academic standards are higher in Canada which will lead you to a quality degree after four years of post-secondary education. With UBC, Oregon State, Washington State, University of Washington, and Gonzaga all within the surrounding areas, our program will expose you to some the top universities in North America. It is our goal to develop you both on and off the field to reach your potential at the next level, wherever that may be.
